Photos & Layout

if anyone's still struggling for ideas, this should help:
http://redesigner.org/2010/11/03/100-beautiful-examples-of-photo-manipulation/

if i'm not mistaken, the project is due Thursday. This means that we should probably have our 5 photos and captions done by Thursday at 10 am at the latest so we can have an hour or two to lay it out before class and make it look really good. am i correct on this?

good luck team

Some crap

Most of these are no good, I keep making mine too gaudy. Should I keep any of them/rework any of them?

In the clouds

So I found this picture with a huge blank wall and decided that I would try and make it look like some friends of mine were lounging in the sky. Its a bit rough but I can alway make alterations. I guess its not the general fantasy that we are used to but floating sky people with a modern look is kinda neat.

for tuesday 4/26..

post one or two of your finished photos, so we can gaze upon their glory!

REMEMBER: try not to crop the photos significantly (for our purposes, we'll probably want to do this in Indesign)

Ideas

here are some photos that I thought I could use

ideas

These two wildllife pics could be combined or juxtaposed in some interesting way. The rest of the photos I would like to utilize for experimenting with fantastic architecture. I'd like to see how I can work with rock formations and textures to see if I can build whimsical castles and spires and the like.

For this last photo I was thinking I could have one green tree.

Let me know what you think! Thanks, --Keith

Some Photos

I was thinking of maybe using at least one of my Potion pictures, thinking the red one on the table. Was also thinking of taking a few of them and putting them on one shelf or something (my psds have the potions on separate layers than the bg). Any opinions on this?

Haven't gotten out to take new pictures so been messing with some I already have so far. Keep in mind photo editing isn't exactly a strong suit of mine I'm more of a drawy person. But I like flying fish.

I also thinking I could do something with this photo (glowy window, tiny shadow?), I have a lot from a bamboo forest that just has a nice atmosphere  but not sure how well they fit into the theme of the book.

From what I looked up on Magical Realism it can be pretty broad. What have you guys thought up?

According to Craig the whole assignment is due in two weeks not including having it published btw.

Some Ideas

So I took some pictures of paths. Could possibly place a humanoid like figure within them. Or add something to make it feel whimsical/sinister.

Not sure exactly where to take this idea so feedback is welcome!

This one I want to place a structure of some kind on the rock itself. Maybe a house? Or some exotic building.

This one I want to create a sky bridge by taking out the river and adding in clouds and flying machines of some kind.

These photos are not necessarily the final photos I will use. Also, I cannot post comments on your post for some reason Natalie. Did you give it a title? That might be the issue.

for tuesday 4/19...

1) post 5 photos with a sentence or two explaining what you might do to each one.
2) google magical realism.
